Since lots of people really like this kind of laughing face on my birds, I'll tell you the secret how to make them yawn happily: it's actually rubbing the "g-spot" on their back head, not the earlobes. I can make them continuously yawn 5 times in a row with this method. Go try it on your bird now. ;)

This is so cute. I never saw a lovebird with such colours. Its really pretty. :) And your birds seem to be very friendly and interact easily with people. I had a parrot with such friendly attitude when I was a kid. It reminds me a lot of him. :)

I have some that are tamed, the ones that I hand fed but I also have some that don't want to be touched because they were parent raised and I bought them when they are adult. :) Was yours a lovebird? :)

Ah I see. Its all about raising the bird.

I had 2 green budgerigars male was so friendly and happy to interact with people (behaviours just exactly as your birds from the picture), female was oposite. Probably they were raised diferently. Now this seems logical.

I also had a cockatiel. But this poor bird had some traumatic past with other owners and was not so enthusiastic with people. :( But at least she had calm life till her death.
