Aww, they're both very pretty c: Love the colors on both of them! What's the color mutation on the gray one called? I've heard of slate lovebirds but I'm not sure if that's what your little guy is.

Slate mauve birds will have greyish blue on their belly. Papao is a spangle mauve with blue edge: [link] ;)

Well he is beautiful and adorable c: So how are lovebirds as pets? I know they're not talkers, but are they cuddly and social like other parrots?

I bought Pippin when she was 6 weeks old, she was handfed. While Papao is the only bird chick I bred from my own pair. :D

Cool c: I think it would be a rewarding experience to breed birds and raise some baby birds X3 I have a lucky privilege right now and get to feed all sorts of baby birds. I work at a Petland so part of my job is to feed babies. I've fed parrotlets, quakers, cockatiels, macaws, cockatoos, eclectus, amazons, caiques, and african grays. They're all very fun to feed c: Very different feeding responses too. It's really interesting to see which ones grow faster and how they eat lol I'm glad to get this experience, though, could be handy in the future lol
