I always supervise my birds when they play around the dog. Never leave them alone. I just want them to get to know each other so that they won't get jumpy every time they meet, not for making them best friends...

D'awwww. I wish I could do that with my Conure and dogs.
But they're husky malamute mixes and are extremely large. But in all honesty I'm not all that afraid of how they'll react to my baby, Citta, being out.

It's more the fact that Citta thinks she's big and bad and is not afraid of them. I did let her out once with just one of my dogs inside, and the very first thing she did was bite my dog on the nose. He freaked out and jumped up. I thought he was going to hurt her and quickly put Citta away. (Of course I did not get mad at my dog or anything. It was a natural reaction.)

So i'm completely jealous xD. They are so adorable though.

Actually my birds act the same, thus I said I have to supervise them if they both are in 1 room. My dog is vry cling and my bird is worse than clingy because they are obsessive about me. So if my bird is on me I have to keep my dog away from latching on me, and so the other way around, else the bird will attack the dog. Even if my dog is very patient, I don't want to test my dog's limit. So it's best to never let the 2 species face to face.
