Omg, these colors are so beautiful! I love the turquoise! I didn't know birds could have that vibrant of colors. I mean I knew they could be colorful, but I'm in love with the colors!

There are some species of lovebirds. Perhaps you are more familiar with roseicollis and ficher? Personata lovebirds have black masked on their head excepts for the lutino and albino color mutations :)

Yeah maybe, I've only seen the few species that have been in pet stores around here and they all had coloured heads. :)

Black, white, and light blue together is my favorite color combination, and Pico just happens to have all of those lovely colors!

I put this on my wishlist, hopefully I'll be able to afford it in a little while if someone else doesn't get it for me. C:

I love looking at the beautiful pics of your birds! It always puts a smile on my face~!

I have two Love Birds of my own, but they had already been born and raised in a cage, so they aren't very social, and they're always biting the budgerigars. The conditions they were raised in at the shop were poor, but I really want to work with them so they do come to like and trust me. Their names are Freddy and Ginger~

I'm also still working with my 3 lovebirds which are not tamed because they were not hand fed and never been socialized before. Plz don't mix lovebirds with other birds because they are very territorial and will defend their territory by fighting to death. :)
Btw, do u have pics of your lovebirds here? :D

We keep the budgies and love birds separate, but sometimes they get cheeky and fly over to the lovebirds. I'll take a few pics and show you ^^

Oh, can't wait to see them!
Be careful, lovebirds like to bite fingers. Don't want those thin fingers of your budgies get bitten off by the lovebirds. :)

It has already happened to two of them, but they've recovered just fine ^^ They still like to test the boundaries though

I'm not sure you should do that... they might be not very lucky next time and there's no way to attach the fingers back >.<

No, I don't let them do that, they're just trouble makers in themselves, the budgies. Bluey, one of my budgies, almost had a claw taken off and some already have missing toes but from the poor care at the shop. Poor Fred's missing a claw :(

it's a more reason to keep the budgies away from the lovebirds when they are out of their cage... DX

I love your babies!! I've got a little peach face named Ellie, she's my first bird (that I paid for, brought home, and raised all by myself. I got her when I graduated from high school.), and ever since I brought her home, she's been a huge part of my life. Can't even imagine how it was without her anymore.
I can tell these little guys are very happy and well loved.
I will be buying some of your merchandise as soon as I get my next pay check. I love your photography and art work.
Please keep it up!

They're gorgeous pictures of precious little birds. I love looking through them, and I look forward to more.
Do you breed and handraise all of them yourself?
I bought mine from an amazon breeder when she was ten weeks old, and she turns three next year in august. I love her so much, its crazy how something so small can just make your whole day brighter.

Pence and Pico are not as tamed as their babies. They are not hand fed. This pair have 3 chicks which I keep them all and then I stop breeding ^^

And your words (planning to buy my merchandises) have made my day as well... :XD:
Don't worry, people complain because I spam their inbox with bird photos daily, which they obviously don't consider as arts. So yeah, your wish is my command!

Btw, any pics of your lovebird? What's his/her name? :)

Ah I can see how people could get a bit peeved at that...but who cares, I love it & I know so many other bird lovers appreciate it!

I actually don't have any pictures, for some reason I never took any and now my bird is staying at my grandma's while I'm away at college. Her name is Sunset, such a cheesy name haha. I really want to get a new peachfaced boy and call him Napoli(short for Napoleon :D)

Sunset? Not as common as Mango I think
Yeah, buy her a mate so that she won't be lonely when she's in the cage, it'll prevent feather plucking habit too :)

Hahah yeah I named him when I was a lot younger and not as creative. You're right, I know so many birds named after flowers or fruit!

That's what I was thinking but then again my grandmother is always home...plus if I did buy a mate I've always been a bit nervous, thinking they would then bond with each other :iconforeveraloneplz:

Having a lot of people at home means nothing if the bird is still in the cage, ignored. She will need someone or another bird to preen and to be preened, to talk to and to snuggle with.

Once she has a mate, she might not be too clingy at you but that's good, you'll be grateful, trust me. I once had a super clingy parrot that really didn't want to be left alone in her cage and would cray + get restless even if I was gone just to pee. She just wanted to be on my shoulder 24/7. It sounds cute but a bit unrealistic for me, so I bought her a mate. This way I have my life back but there is at least an hour a day we play together. :aww:

Don't worry, she adores Sunset and constantly babies her and feeds her a bunch of good fruit  But yes you are completely right, birds cannot be ignored!

Ah well then...hearing it that way, maybe it won't be that big of a deal and probably gives more rest & helps you enjoy spending time with the birds :) Your's all look like they have so much fun!
