After a week using sponge, the left leg is still splayed. This time I made a ring from aid plaster. I really made it like a ring so no sticky side is shown. I can easily remove it later without having to cut it. This way she can stand or squat and no poop will smear his belly/anus. Much better than the sponge. Should have thought about it earlier. She'll use it for 2 weeks. If the leg is still not fixed by then, I and him will have to live with it.

But whether his leg can be fixed or not, I've decided he'll be my last baby bird. Don't want to risk myself and another baby bird to go what me & Pocky have been through.

I wanted to have 12, or at least 8 birds, 4 from my own pair. It would make me feel like those 4 adult birds which are already gone from my life back again.... But then again, it might be a selfish wish to get more birds for such reason. So yeah... I think I'll stop at 7. They will be my lucky 7! :)

Poor baby. What happens if the splayed leg doesn't get corrected?

All the best with Pocky's leg.
It is hard going through raising those birds the way you have. Very time consuming and emotionally draining.
I admire what you have done with the babies.

I let them come into this world, so I have a responsibility to take care of them the best I can.
But deep inside I know, it's more than just a responsibility. I have fallen in love with them too...
