Pipo has gained some confidence lately so he challenged Pence to get Pico's (Pence's wife) attention this morning. But so far, no luck for both. Pico was simply unimpressed. Without a nest box available, it'll take a tremendous effort to flirt with Pico.

Historical fact:
When Pica (Pico 1st hubby) died, Those 2 bachelors were competing to win the sexy widow's heart. Pence won, because he was definitely persistent in courting and stalking her for 3 months. While Pipo gave up after trying for just about a week or two. Probably he couldn't stand Pippin kept hitting his head everytime he flirted with Pico.

Although I'm curious if she matches up with Pipo, what color will their babies? I can always match one of their child with Pence later XD

That is a good question ... Papao seemed to get her penguin side from mom. But no matter which daddy, the babies (since they are lovies) will be gorgeous no matter what ... of course I am VERY biased. lol

Thanks for asking! She has let many of her fluff feathers grow back in on her chest and back! And we are even seeing a few larger yellow ones. Woo-hoo! And I started using the Betadyne ointment that you mentioned. She still trims the tail, but she won't go all the way down to the skin anymore. We also gave her a smaller space to live in with more defined boundaries. The vet said that she might have been stressing due to having to "guard" such a large territory by herself. So she now has less territory to guard, so she will be less stressed. Makes sense!

I need to upload more recent pics of her ... she looks SO cute with just the fuzzies on her chest.

But of course, I AM biased. lol
