There's nothing like after bath rub... by emmil There's nothing like after bath rub... by emmil
You should try this with your parrots. They are most vulnerable with rubbing after taking a bath! :D

Your bird makes me make noises that are normally reserved for tiny kittens.

My bird was on the devil's shoulder once, I'm telling you, but he'll soften up when I give him a nice neck rub<3

He can be sweet... Sometimes. Ha ha, he's only a year old. When he was younger, all he would do was bite, and bite HARD. We managed to, for the most part, train it out of him. I hope he'll continue to mellow with age!

When ever he bit us, we would put him away for 15 minutes, then take him out and try again. If he would bite and hang on, we would slowly press our finger back further in to his beak until he let go then put him away. I honestly think he'd bite to a) get attention, or b) test us. X) So much personality in a little package, yes?

Actually, he'd go for the ear lobe! Ha ha, we would simply put him away. We eventually learned that he liked to curl up in our hair and if it was pulled back, he'd protest.

I have a bird who really likes to hop on my shoulder but she also likes to bite my neck skin and if I try to shoo her away, she'll bite my hand fiercely. FYI: She doesn't like to be held but she don't mind head rub.

:faint: Mine would rip my fingers off. He has never been a fan of neck rubbing.

Hmmm after a bath you say, my boy is usually outside to dry in the sun after his bath.
He loves talking to all the Rainbow Lorikeets.

Yes, after a bath ... you two will have a nice sunbathing together. You can rub his cheeks easily at this time. :D

Well the funniest thing was that she was absolutly in love with my dad. whenever i let her out she'd fly over to him. however, i let her out one time when the back door was open and i didn't know, she flew outside and landed in front of him. i also taught her to fly to me when i called and to do a cat-call whenever someone walked by. =D

Some parrots are known to be 1 person pets. Maybe yours was like that. :)
